The depiction of a goat occupies the central medallion of the fourth row from the top. The goat is depicted leaping, in profile, facing the left medallion. Its hind legs are stretched backwards protrude from the medallion's frame. Its remaining front leg is bent down. Its short tail is curled up.

The tesserae are made of limestone and marble. They are laid in curved lines within the figure and in straight parallel lines in the background.
The goat's outline consists of one line of black tesserae. The goat, grapes and leaves are surrounded by one line of background tesserae.
The average number of tesserae per 10cm2 is (10x10). A higher density is found in the grapes: (10x11), while a lower density is found in the background: (10x9).
Hues of burgundy and yellow are used, besides different hues of black and white.
