The depiction of a stag occupies the central medallion of the tenth row from the top. The stag is depicted in profile towards the left medallion. All that remains of the stag is its rear end and one of its hind legs.

The tesserae are made of limestone. They are laid in curved lines within the figure and in straight parallel lines in the background.
The stag's outline consists of one line of black tesserae. The stag and grapes are surrounded by one line of background tesserae.
The average number of tesserae per 10cm2 is (9.5x10). Hues of burgundy and yellow are used, aside from hues of black and white.
