The silver Torah shield is rectangular terminating with a semicircular arch. It consists of a plate.

Depicted in the center are the Tablets of the Covenant, inscribed with the opening words of the ten commandments. Flanking the Tablets are two lions rampant facing forward. Below is a palmette encircled by a downward "C" scroll. The tips are composed of a griffin head. The arch has an incision located above either lion and bears no decoration. The ground of the base is filled with a foliate scroll. The frame consists of a solid band rimmed by a repeating palmette-like leaf.
