Rectangular text panels containing the Book of Esther are surrounded by foliate and floral ornaments with chequered patterns in which are intertwined birds (some of them are double-headed) and human heads or masks. They resemble ornamentation of a group of Italian megillot and ketubbot from the 2nd half of the 18th century with cut-out borders (in the Index see ID 34768). The upper margins of all membranes are trimmed into numerous semicircles.

The scroll is mounted on a metal roller.
