The Book of Esther in Hebrew that starts from Es. 1:10
The scroll is formed of 4 sheets containing 22 columns of the text with 16 lines except for col. 18 with 11 lines divided into two parts.
The text is written in the Hebrew square Sephardi-Italian script with tagim (except for col. 1) in black ink, on the flesh side of parchment membranes that are very stiff and thick. Their hair side is more yellow and smooth than the side with the text and decorations; the other side is brighter and matt.
The letter ת (Es. 9:29) is highlighted by its size. Other enlarged and diminished letters are included in col. 18.
In cols. 3, 14, and 15, flags of the letters ל in the opening words (המלך) end with a flower. Similarly, the lower stroke of the letter ע in the last word of the Megillah is decorated with a flower.
The last column of the text is narrower than all other columns in the scroll.
The ruling is better visible on the hair side of the sheets than on their flesh side.
The membranes are stitched.
