The silver Torah pointer consists of a bar, a pointer and a hanger. The bar is divided into an upper and lower parts by three globular joints. The rectangular upper part terminates with a knob with loop hanger through which a chain with raund shaped rings is inserted. The twisted lower part terminates with a joint and a pointer in a shape of a clenched hand with a straight index finger. The upper part bears a dedicatory inscription in square linear letters,which reads from the upper part towards the pointer: On four sides: "האברם ב"כ )בן כבוד( אהרון ב"י דוד ב"רא ה" דוד בונו )בעזרת ה' נעשה ונצליח?(/ וואלף בב"ק נתן הרש בערליב במנו' )במנוחת( מפלר/ "The Abraham the honourable Aaron son of bara David bara the David with the help of the lord let us do and thrive/ wallf ? Nathan Hersh Barleib for the repose mapler"/ Continues on the other sides: "ישראל ש ישראל ח יורא"הליב בר"א פ ]רא[/ משה כה"ר )כבוד הרב( נותתי ב"א פ"לק ב"שפר". "Israel S Israel H Yoraleib bara p/ Mosses the honourable Rabbi notaty ? ba Falk in Shpr".

There is one hallmark stamped on the hand.
1. The hallmark depicts the letter "F" within a rhomboid frame. It is an Austro Hungarian restamped mark for small items between 1806-1809. The letter "F" stands for Brno.
