The silver hanging back-walled Hanukah^lamp consists of a row of eight oil containers, a back wall and side walls. A row of eight round spouted oil containers is fastened to the lower side of the back wall and to the side walls. The arched pointed back wall bears a central cartouche framed by volutes and depicting a family emblem: three cypresses on a hilly ground surmounted by three stars and flanked by the initials : א%א ! A%A !. Around the cartouche the back wall is decorated with a symmetrical pattern of floral branches. The edges bear a decoration of volutes and conches. The movable undulating side walls are decorated on their inner sides by a flower between four volutes and topped by a conch. On the outer side of the right side wall a hollowed cylindrical unit is attached. The shamash was probably attached to a rectangular unit fixed on the centre of the back wall.
