The crown-like Rimon is made of silver and consists of a base, a wreath, arches and an apex.
The base is round with two friezes: The lower one bears a dedicatory inscription and the upper one is decorated with a continuous pattern of an oval, a dot and a lozenge. The friezes are delimited and divided by rows with a rope pattern.
The wreath is round and it is composed of pair of stems rolled around a ring. A bell hangs from each ring. The space between the rings is filled with a decoration of conches and leaves.
Four arches looking like an acanthus leaf are attached to the wreath. An Apex looking like a bunch of seven flowers is mounted over the arches. A bar is attached to the inner face of the crown and it bears a dedicatory inscription. A globular shaft for the Torah Scrolls rods is attached to this bar. The dedicatory inscription which is engraved in full letters on the base reads:
לכבוד התורה מאת חברת זריזים שנת התרל"ד
"For the honour of the Torah from the society of Zrizim, the year(5)634(=1874)"
The dedicatory inscription which is engraved on the inner bar reads:
La comunita' israelitica di Vercelli / in memoria / di Rav Gustavo Calo' / 20 Iyar 5716.
"The Jewish community of Vercelli in memory of Rabbi Gustavo Calo' 20 Iyar 5716(=1956)"
