"תקופת ###י" The representation of Autumn is enclosed within the upper right spandrel of the zodiac wheel panel, above the signs of Aries and Pisces. It depicts the frontal bust of a female figure, followed by Hebrew inscription. Only the first word of the inscription remains, situated in the upper right corner: "The season of..." The figure is depicted wearing a tunic, hands raised, holding a stick and a ram's horn (shofar) in her right hand. Beneath the figure's left hand a bird is depicted facing the opposite way from the figure. The panel shares the frame of the square zodiac panel.

Summary and Remarks
תשרי The season is identified as Autumn because of the shofar, which is used in the celebration of Rosh Hashanah, which takes place during this season; also because of the letter "yod" which is part of the Hebrew word for autumn :
