The depictions of the Zodiac signs are set within landscapes the reflect the corresponding time of year. The images are arranged in groups of threes on each of the four sides of the vault. Each image is contained by an ovular frame, painted to look like an architectural cartouche. The cartouches are decorated with flowers and floral ornamentation. The name of the Zodiac signs are not included in each image, and are only indicated by an inscription of the relevant month. On the east side there are the Zodiacs signs of the months Tishrei (Scales), Heshvan (Scorpion), Kislev (Bow). On the south side are the Zodiacs signs of the months Tammuz (Crab), Av ( Lion), and Elul (Virgin). On the west side are placed  zodiacs signs of the months: Nisan (Lamb), Iyyar (Bull), and Sivan (Twins). On the north side are the Zodiacs signs of the months Tevet (Kid), Shevat (Bucket), and Adar (Fish).
