A fragment of a winged, headless Eros. He is seating, probably on a rock, that traces of it are seen on the lower right part. His right leg is bent, and his hands are folded over the knee, and the fingers are crossed. The two wings are seen behind him.

According to N. Avigad the bottom part was attached to the corner of a lid, either above an acroterium or replacing it. The marble indicates that the sarcophagus came originally from Asia Minor.
