Fol. 31, by Illuminator B: The initial word אפיק (Afik) opening the yotzer (Davidson 1924–1933, א 7129) of the morning service of the second day of Passover is enclosed within a rectangular panel decorated with a dragon, fish, monkey, bucranium, two-headed bird and an acanthus scroll, parts of which are in spared-ground technique. The letters of the initial word are divided into diagonal stripes coloured in magenta, silver, green and red on a yellow ground. For similar decoration by Illuminator B, see fols. 25, 68v.
