18th cencury brown leather on wood decorated on both sides with gold-tooled floral frame with a central piece enclosing a flaming vessel. Spine is divided into six portions by five high cords. Two brass claps decorated with gothic letters. Gilt-edging.

All the panels have golden lettering and colored in blue, magenta, vermilion, green, pink, brown and some yellow, grey, light blue and little white. The grounds of the panels are painted in blue and magenta, except for the the golden ground of the initial word for Genesis (p. 2), and decorated with brush scrolls and animals in white.
