Eastern wall
The Torah ark stands in the middle of the eastern wall and protrudes within the inner space. It is flanked on both sides by a pair of arched windows each set within a niche (fig. 6). Above the Torah ark is a circular window of red glass.
Northern wall
The northern wall is divided into two tiers. Three small arched windows are at the upper floor in the women’s section. The windows are coloured in green, brown and blue (figs. 7, 8).
Below it, in the middle of the wall is a rectangular stove (see: Remarks no. 1) topped by a wooden ornamented pediment, while on the western corner is the entrance door.
Western and Southern walls
Each of the western and southern walls has four rectangular arched windows, similar to those of the eastern wall.
Ceiling
In the centre of the ceiling are three concentric circles. The central circle from which a lamp is suspended, is painted blue with golden stars, alluding to the heavenly dome.
Ceramic tiles cover the lower third part of the walls.
