The facade-like Torah ark is set within a rectangular deep niche in the centre of the eastern wall of the prayer hall. It is flanked by two additional rectangular niches, serving as Geniza cupboards.

The niche is enclosed within a horseshoe arch and is blocked by a wooden board with a double winged door.

The horseshoe arch is supported by two rectangular pilasters and surrounded by a rectangular frame.

It is decorated with painted dots and bears the inscription:

"זה השער לה' צדיקים יבואו בו"

"This gate of the Lord, into which the righteous shall enter" (Psalms118:20)

The arch encloses at its center an elongated double winged door divided into four panels arranged in two registers. This door surmounts a smaller double door corresponding to the lower part.

A rectangular plaque is set at the center of the Torah ark bearing the inscription:

"שיויתי/ יהוה/ לנגדי תמיד" (תהילים טז:ח)              “I have set the Lord always before me” (Ps. 16:8)

The space between the ark and the rectangular frame is decorated with colorful ceramic tiles. Additional tiles also cover the pilasters.

The inner space is a rectangular niche divided into a main upper section for the Torah scrolls and a smaller lower part. A mat covers the floor while the walls of the inner space are covered with Torah curtains.

The rectangular Geniza niches are blocked by double winged wooden doors divided into four panels arranged in two registers.

Three rectangular plaques, bearing prayers, are hung on both sides of the ark, on the Geniza doors. One on the right and two on the left.

A bench is built beneath the Torah Ark, as part of the sitting arrangement.
