The wooden Torah^case consists of a body and a crown.##The cylindrical body is covered with a floral patterned velvet. It is decorated with cartouche-shaped silver plaques, which form vertical lines. Each cartouche is decorated with a vase and flowers. Silver friezes bearing a dedicatory inscription, encircle the upper and lower borders of the body. The body's upper borderis surmounted by a lily-like crenellation, into which red beads are threaded. ## The case is fastened by two pairs of silver hook clasps. The inner face of the case is covered with cotton. There are two semi-circular stilted holes for the rods. The onion-shaped crown is composed of a main section, a crest and an apex.## The main section is decorated like the body with velvet and silver plaques. An undulating crest is mounted over the crown, ending with a bud-shaped apex. The crest is covered with silver plaques, every other one decorated with geometrical pattern in vertical bands. A large ring bearing two rows of rhombuses, above which there is a floral pattern, encircle the centre. Ten chains hang around the crest's centre, carrying slit, drop-shaped bells.##Two iron rimon mounts are fixed on the crown. ##The inner face of the crown is covered with mirrors, bearing a dedicatory inscription. Two lines of flowers stemming from vases depict their edges. A band of paper bellow the crown bears a dedicatory inscription. The dedicatory inscription on the body starts at the upper borders from the right of the body. It is repousse in outline letters against a punched background, and reads: תיק זה וסת' )וםפר תורה( שבו הקדיש אותו הר' בנימן% היו )ה' יחיהו ויזכהו(על נש' )נשמת( אביו המ' )המולא( רב' שלמה בנימן נע')נוחו עדן( !This case and the Torah scroll (int.) inside it, were dedicated by the Rabbi Benjamin % may the Lord sustain him and grant him favour (int.), for the soul of (int.) his father, the Mullah (int.) Rabbi Solomon Binjamin, may he rest in Eden (int.)! The dedicatory inscription on the lower border is repousse in outline letters, and reads: ]על[ מנת בכל מקו' ) מקום ( שירצו בעלי הסת )הספר תורה(להוציא % ולהניחו הו למקומות אחרים הרשות בידם !For the sake of the owners of the Torah scroll who want to take it out and put it in other places, the permission is in their hands! The dedicatory inscription below the crown is written in red filled letters, and reads: תורה צוה לנו משה מורשת קהילת (Deut. 33:4) The dedicatory inscription continues on the left: יעקב משה אמת ותורתו אמ' ))אמת( ונב!א' )ונביאו אמת( !The Torah of Moses is truth! The dedicatory inscription on the inner face of the crown is written in green filled letters, and reads: וזאת## התורה אשר## שם משה לפני ב)בני( ## ישראל אלה העי)העדת( ## והחוקים והמשפ )והמשפתים( ## והתור )והתורה( ו' אשר ני Deut 4:44, followed by Deut. 4:45 the inscription continues on the left: תיק וזה וםת )וםפר תורה( שבו## הקדיש ## אותו הר בנימז היו)ה' יחיהו ויזכהו(## על נש')נשמת( אביו המר )המרוחם(## רבי שלומה בנימז## נע )נוחו עדן( תנצבה )תהי נשמתו צרורה בצרור החיים( שנת תרנו !This Torah case and the Torah scroll (int.) inside it were dedicated by the Rabbi (int.)
