The rectangular bordeaux Parokhet is a cloth, enclosing a rectangular dedicatory purple core set at the top half center. At the center of the cloth is a floral element comprised of four vases filled with open flowers set diagonally and point outwards. Each vase is flanked by two stems with leaves and flowers that radiate from the bottom of the vase, creating a cross. Four similar vases with open flowers flanked by two stems are set in the corners of the cloth and point towards the center. Flowers and stems with open flowers are spread around the cloth.
The core bears a Hebrew dedicatory inscription written in square filled letters arranged in six lines. A Star of David is at the top between the first and second words of the inscription.
The inscription reads:
"קודש לה'/הפרוכת הזאת הוקדשה/לעי"נ (לעילוי נשמת)/רחל אלחריף נ"ע (נוחה עדן)/שנפטרה בקצי"וש (בקצור ימים ושנים) ב' ניסן/תש'ט תנצב'ה (תהיה נשמתה צרורה בצרור החיים)"
Dedicated to the Lord, this Parokhet was dedicated for the exaltation of the soul of Rachel Elharif may she rest in Eden, who passed away with days and years cut off, the second of the month of Nissan (5)709 (1.4.1949), may her soul be bound up in the bond of life.
A strip consisting of a pattern of fleur de lys tied up in a ribbon frames the cloth.
Six loops are attached to the top of the cloth.
