The cylindrical Torah pointer consists of a bar and a pointer. The bar is divided into lower and upper parts by a pressed globular joint bearing triangles. Two additional globes are at the top and bottom of the bar: the upper globe is bigger than the lower one.
The four-faceted upper part is topped by a bud-shaped apex. It bears a Hebrew dedicatory inscription, written in square linear letters. It is arranged in four lines, one on each facet, and reads towards the pointer:
"נדבה וקל"ה (קודש לה') מאת ה"א (האדון) שלמה/ביבאס הי"ו (ה' ישמרהו ויחזקהו) לע"נ (לעילוי נשמת) מר אביו משה/בן לאה י"א כסלב (כסלו)/ ואמו בת באינידה טז' כסליו"
"A donation and dedication to the Lord, from Mr. Solomon (Shlomo) Bivas may the Lord protect and sustain him, for the exaltation of the soul of his father Mr. Moses (Moshe) son of Lea 11th in the month Kislev and his mother daughter of Baindia the 16th in the month of Kislev."
The cylindrical lower part bears a pattern of rhombuses set on a smooth background. It terminates in a smaller globular joint and a clenched hand with a straight index finger.
