The rectangular Parokhet is a cloth framed by a white strip bearing floral motifs, and enclosing an inscribed core at the center top half. The frame comprises four strips that overlap in the corners, bearing a winding stem with leaves and thorns, roses and flowers.
The core bears a Hebrew dedicatory inscription written in square filled letters arranged in seven lines that read:
"כ' ת' (כתר תורה)/נדבת גבריאל ורחל מטרסו הי"ו (ה' יחזקם וישמרם)/ לע"נ (לעלוי נשמת) אחיו אברהם ז"ל (זכרונו לברכה)/שנלב"ע (שנאסף לבית עולמו) בקיו"ש (בקצור ימים ושנים) י"ג שבט ש' (שנת) תרפ"ז/ולע"נ (ולעלוי נשמת) אמו ג'ויה מטרסו ז"ל (זיכרונה לברכה)/נלב"ע (נאספה לבית עולמה) כ"ד כסלו/ת'נ'צ'ב'ה (תהיה נשמתה צרורה בצרור החיים)"
Torah crown, a donation of Gavriel (Gabriel) and Rachel metersu may the Lord sustain and protect them, for the exaltation of the soul of his brother Abraham (Abraham) of blessed memory, passed away with days and years cut off, on the 13th of Shevat, the year (5)687 (16.1.1927), and to the exaltation of the soul of his mother Joya Metersu of blessed memory, passed away on the 24th of Kislev, may their souls be bound up in the bond of life.
