The prayer Ha-noten teshuah for the wellbeing of the king is written on the wall, amidst a painted curtain. Russian imperial double-headed eagle with three crowns bears a shild with a monogram "AII" that belonged to the RUssian emperor Alexander II (Aleksander Nikolaevich, ruled 1855-1881). However, the text of the prayer mentions the name of his son, Alexander III ("Aleksander Aleksandrovich", ruled 1881-1894). It seems that the first letters in Alexander III's patronymic, "Aleksandro[vich]", were writte later, over the erased patronymic of Alexander II, Nikolae[vich], while the last letters, "vich", were kept intact.
