Fragment of the western wall with the entrance. The round window was situated above the door. The open decorative gates was depicted between the entrance and the window.

The inscription inside the decorative gates:

כל השערים ננעלו חוץ משער הדמעות (בבא מציעא נט א)

Two wide ornamental strips (borders) with a variety of floral and geometric patterns supported the entrance. The image of the stork with a snake in its beak surmounted the stripes.

Two dedicatory inscriptions flanked the entrance.
