Fol. 52: A scaling ladder made of leather straps buckled together and iron hooks, each with a sheave. The upper rope pulls the first wooden rung onto the hooks. When it is being climbed, a man should sit on the bottom rung, holding the rope which is attached to the latter and to a fixed object. Inscribed in Hebrew and Yiddish:
Next to the sheaves, and in each of the top hooks: שייב מעוטף. ברזל (twice).
On the buckled straps: לעדר (four times).
On the rungs:עץ (six times).
On the bottom rung: כאן ישב אדם ובידו החבל. עץ.
