Fol. 9v: A crowned lion is sitting in the open landscape with his soldiers, his right front leg raised in a gesture of speech. The soldiers, an ox, hart, fox and rabbit, turn to listen to him. The caption above reads: "Image of the lion and his soldiers exalting their pedigree, ‘from the lions’ dens, and from the mountains of the leopards’" (Song of Songs 4:8;צורת האריה וחילו מתיחסים ומהדרים, ממעונות אריות ומהררי/ נמרים ; Loewe 2004, I:85).
