The wooden torah^case consists of a body. The body is cylindrical and is covered by red velvet. The velvet is attached to the body with metal nails around the eadges of the body. It is decorated by brass streaps,brass cartouches and a silver plate. The streaps are placed around the body's eadges and openings. The cartouches are placed at the corners of the body. The plate is at the center of the body, and bears a dedicatory inscription in square outlined letters which reads:
"תיק זה ## וספר תורה שבו ## הקדיש אותו הר')הרב( יוסף ## אליהו עזרא הי"ו)ה' יחיהו ויזכהו( על ## נשמת המ")המרוחמת( אשתו רחל נ"ע)נוחה עדן(## בת יעקב חי הי"ו)ה' יחיהו ויזכהו(## שנפטרת ביום ה י"ז לחודש טבת התרמ"ז ## לפ"ג)לפרט גדול( ## ת'נ'צ'ב'ה')תהי נשמתה צרורה בצרור החיים("
"This Torah Case and the Torah Scroll inside it was dedicated by the Rabbi Josef Eliyahu Ezrah may the Lord sustain him and grant him favour to the soul of the one who has found mercy his wife Rachel may she rest in Eden The daughter of Jacob Hai may the Lord sustain him and grant him favour who passed away at thursday seventeenth of Tevet 5647(=1.1.1887) ## May her soul be bound up in the bond of life"
On top of the case there are two round holes for the staves. The case is closed by two pairs of hook clasps. The inner face of the case has no cover.
