The tas is made of silver-plated brass(?), and consists of a plate, a crest, and a chain. The plate is in the shape of a cartouche. It is decorated with two rampant lions~ looking backwards standing on branches. They support the five and five Tables^of^the^Covenant~ inscribed with the first two words of each commandment. The tablets are framed above and below by foliate scrolls and flowers. The frame for the calendar tablet is rectangular and set in the lower part of the plate. The lower section of the plate bears a garland of three flowers. The borders of the plate are framed by foliate scrolls and two flowers at the bottom. The background of the plate is punched. The plate is hung by a chain which is inserted through two rings attached to the back of the plate. A crest in the shape of a crown is attached to the plate. It is decorated with a chaised, geometric pattern.
