Vol. I, fols. 43v-44: The facing pages (figs. 1, 2) at the end of Genesis, written by Scribe A in triangular and diamond forms, are accentuated by bands coloured and decorated by the artist with a crenellation motif (cf. I:168v-169v, end of Pentateuch; II:207v-208v, end of Job).
Above the explicit נשלם ספר בראשית (Genesis completed, I:44 - figs. 1, 3) are three roundels, enclosing a yellow ochre lion passant guardant in the centre and a grey lioness courant on either side, on a green and blue ground.
