Fol. 19v-20: Two stylised text illustrations in decorated panels below the text of mazzah (fol. 19v) and maror (fol. 20) arranged as facing pages.
The mazzah is illustrated within a rectangular panel filled in with a geometrical all-over rosette design framed by stylised guilloche motifs and foliate scrolls in spared-ground technique.
The maror is illustrated within an open-topped panel, decorated with foliate scrolls in spared-ground technique, showing a stylised stem standing on a square base and surrounded by floral motifs. The stem and base are filled with a foliate scroll and an all-over lattice pattern respectively.
This stem for the maror recalls those appearing in the c.1875 Morrocan Haggadah and Dhir of Passover (Tiqun Pesah) from Tafilalt region in south-east Morocco (Tel-Aviv Gross, MO.011.031; see Genedral Document, Remarks, fig. 8), and in the 19th-century Moroccan Haggadah (BSB Cod.hebr. 455, fol. 18v; see Genedral Document, Remarks, fig. 9), though the style is different.
