By the Artist: Fols. 16v, 25v, 34v, 39, 46v, 47: The title at the beginning of the second book (fol. 47), the initial words for the other three sections of the first book (articles 6-8; fols. 25v, 34v, 39) and the initial word of the sub-section (fol. 16v; in the 4th article) are written in built-up ink letters of 2 lines height on the parchment ground at the centre of rectangular panels framed by wide borders decorated with scrolls of blue and red filigree penwork. Flourishes extend from the short sides of the panels into the margins ending in roundels,  one of which encloses a lion's head (fol. 25v) and a seated human figure pointing at the text (fol. 34v).

The composition differs from that of the previous group (fols. 1, 4, 7, 12v, 20v): the filigree work frames the initial words and is not used as their background. Furthermore, although the filigree ornaments similarly consist of the fan-shaped club motif, the execution is simpler and the use of colours differs. Some frames (fols. 16v, 25v, 39) are in red filigree decoration with some blue, others are divided into alternating red and blue fields (fols. 46v, 47).

The large panel with the explicit of the first book (fol. 46v) is the most elaborate and differs from the other panels in its large dimension. Below it is a cartouche with the incipit of the second book. Both are decorated with similar filigree pen-work and connected to each other by a 'pillar' drawn by a later hand in a different shade of greenish-brown ink.
