The back-walled Hanukah lamp is made of silver and consists of a row of eight oil containers, a back wall and side walls, a roof and legs. A row of eight spouted pitcher-shaped oil containers is set in an semicircular array on a straight base. The base is surrounded by a balustrade with filigree decoration and rests on six curved legs. The pitchers are flanked on both sides by a filigree pillar supported on a square base. The pillar's square capital is surrounded by a balustrade and is surmounted by a globular apex. An arched roof decorated with a An arched roof decorated with a wavy pattern is supported by the pillars. A curved arm is raised from each pilaster bearing a flower shaped apex which is surmounted by a pitcher. The arched back wall consists of filigree fastened to a brass back-plate. The filigree decoration bears in the lower part a frieze of scroll patterns which is surmounted by a band of twisted pattern. The upper part of the back wall is decorated in its center with a flower surrounded by a leaf shaped frame which is flanked on both sides by three leaves, all of which emerge from a small semicircular plaque. On the central top of the back wall is a cast vase with flowers. The fixed traingular side walls are decorated in filigree with foliate motifs.
