The hanging back-walled Hanukah lamp is made of brass and consists of a row of oil containers, a back wall,a Shamash and a hanger. A row of four rectangular double spouted oil containers is attached to the back wall at the bottom. The pointed arch back wall is composed of an openworked scroll pattern decorated with short lines and rosettes set symmetrically. It is surmounted on both sides by two birds facing in. At the bottom of the back wall there is a horizontal inscription in square linear letters which reads: "כי נר מצוה ותורה אור ודרך חתמ )חיים תוכחות מוסר(")משלי ו',כ"ג(. Prov. 6:23.
