In the outer margin of the page Haman and his ten sons are hanged on a high tree inside an elongated panel with a lobed top.
Haman hangs on the uppermost branch and a red bird pecks at his eye.
Each son hangs on a separate branch on either side of the tree, their hands tied behind their backs. The following words are inscribed next to the figures.

In the lower margin of the page the crowned Mordecai and Esther sit on cushioned stools. They each hold a scepter surmounted by a fleur-de-lys in one hand and point to the hanging scene with the other.
There is and inscription above Esther which reads,
כתר מלכות בראש אסתר
"Esther is crowned with the crown of kingship."
The inscription above Mordecai reads,
עטרת זהב גדולה על ראש מרדכי היהודי
"A large golden crown is on the head of Mordecai the Jew."
The faces of all the figures are erased.
