The archival photos show the magnificent Torah ark, which occupies the central part of the eastern wall. The Torah ark was designed as a four-level architectural structure, including wood carving and painting. The monumental Torah ark dispersed on the whole space of the central part of the eastern wall. The round light window of the eastern wall and two central pilasters were included in the composition of the Torah ark. The third and fourth tier of Torah ark were decorated with paintings that preserved in fragments. Curly ornament with bright blue flowers and fruit bushes (blackberry), and tall trees with peacocks sitting on them have survived from the left and from the right sides of the Torah ark.

Four animals: lion, tiger, deer and elephant (instead of the traditional eagle) were depicted on the pilasters on either side of the Torah ark, according to the archival photographs. The image of a lion stepped on a snake, tiger, tormented by a strange creature, and the trunk of the elephant remained on the left and the right pilaster.
