The silver kiddush cup is composed of a shaft and a body. The round and slightly raised base is surmounted by an undulating shaft. The base of the shaft is shaped like an overturned bell shaped flower and is surmounted by a faceted and compressed cone. The body surmounts the shaft and is globular on the bottom and composed of eight facets on top. The bottom bears petal like sections and the faceted top bears flowers surmounted by an inscription in square filled letters which reads: " שבעה/ ש/ת/ל/?/ה/ב " "Seven ???" .
The inscription is followed by a depiction of the ten commandments bearing roman numerals.
2. The letter G is depicted in a circular frame. This is a date mark of Nurenberg between 1787-1790. cf R3, p.43, no.3778. Tardy, p.45.
3. The initials I.F.E are depicted within a trefoil frame. This is the hallmark of the artist Johann Friedrich Ehe 1773-1808. cf R3, p.264, no.4304.
