 Jewish victims of the Holocaust from Kamianets Podilskyi

Description:

The monument is situated in the Jewish cemetery and marks three mass graves.

It is a large square block with a bevel upper part, topped by a decorative turret. Plaque with almost identical Yiddish and Russian inscriptions are situated on two sides of the block. The inscriptions are similar to those at the memorial at the murder place in Kam'ianets-Podil's'kyi.

Translation: Generation will remember our fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters, sons and daughters of our people - which were brutally murdered on the fifth day and the ninth [day of] Elul in the year 1941 by German Fascists.

Russian:

Вечная память
отцам матерям
братьям и сестрам
детям и внукам
варварски замученным
пятого дня
месяца элул, август
1941 года
немецко-фашистскими
извергами

Translation: Eternal memory to fathers, mothers, brothers, and sisters, children, and grandchildren, brutally tormented [to death] on the fifth day of the month of Elul, August 1941 by German-Fascist monsters.
