The picture reprsents a clown playing a violin, which he holds in his left hand. He holds the bow above it in his right hand. The violin rests on his left shoulder and his head touches it. He wears a blue and grey jacket with wide folds, and on his black hair he has a small blue-grey hat. He has grey spots on his nose and cheek. He has a grey bow and three buttons on his white shirt. He wears black trousers, balloon-like at the bottom, and black shoes. Horizontall inscription on the right side in Russian block letters reads "GUM".
