Interior
The prayer hall of the synagogue is of a square plan. The construction of the vault consisted of the octagonal dome placed over a square room with pendentives and on a complicated vault construction. The dome is supported by four round pillars.
The murals of the synagogue were made by Yehuda ha-Tzayar in 1779, according to inscriptions.
The multi-tiered composition of the murals correlates to the synagogue construction.
The composition of the dome decoration consisted of concentrically wide bands of painting (registers) filled by ornamental and symbolic motives. A round medallion with image of three hares running in a circle was placed in the center of the dome. The wide band of vegetable plaiting with cups of flowers surrounds the central medallion. The third band of the painting in the octagonal dome included eight symbolic compositions. There were painted: The lion and the unicorn (in a battle). Two bears carry a bunch of grapes (meraglim). The hand removes the snake from the tree. The fox eats fish under a nearby tree. (Something in the arch ?). Wicker basket with the first fruits. The lion lying. The dog (?) sitting on the back of a large bear with a chain in the nose. An elephant with a turret (the house) on the back.
The square room with pendentives is decorated by Zodiacs signs.
The vault constructions are decorated by four symbolic sceenes.

Three scenes are painted in octogonal dome: Wicker basket with the first fruits. The lion lying. The dog (?) sitting on the back of a large bear with a chain in the nose.
The square room with pendentives is painted by four zodiacs signs:
The Gemini (Twins), Zodiac Sign of Sivan is painted as two hands holding pruning shears
The Cancer (Crab), Zodiac Sign of Tammuz is painted as beetle
The Leo (Lion), Zodiac Sign of Av is painted as walking lion
The Virgo (Virgin), Zodiac Sign of Elul is painted as a trunk
