Psalm 87 is written in 7 well-spaced lines of uneven length at the center of the sheet. The first verse of the Psalm is written in a wavy line at the top of the sheet above the remaining 6 lines. The text is written in medium size , bold, cursive with the exception of the top line which is written in large letters. The word "Song" (87:1) is written in larger cursive letters and the word "holy" at the end of the line is written in large printed letters "שיר", "קדש". On the second line, the words "gates of Zion" and "dwellings of Jacob" ( 87:2) are written in large, bold, letters and the word "Zion" is written in block letters "שערי ציון", "משכנות יעקב".  Line 4 is the longest line of the paragraph and curves slightly upwards towards the end. Line 5 is shorter but also curves upwards. The last two words of the Psalm, "are in thee" (87:7) are written in large, bold, cursive letters and the word "thee" "מעיני בך" is punctuated.
