The entire book of Amos is written on yellowish paper in three columns divided into paragraphs corresponding to each chapter with gaps inbetween chapters . It is written in dense, small, and black Hebrew cursive letters without punctation marks. There are spaces in the begining and end of some verses. Amos 1 is written in 17 lines in the first paragragraph of the first righthand column. In the first line the name of the prophet/book is written in widened block letters. Amos 2 is written below Amos 1 in 17 lines in the first colunm with lighter and smaller letters. In the first line, a word of the verse Amos 2:1 is concealed by a zig-zag line. In the seventh line the syllable "el" in the word "Israel" (Amos 2:6) is witten in thicker letters. Amos 3 is written in 16 lines in the lower paragraph of the first colunm. In the eighth line the words "The lion hath roared, who will not fear?" (Amos 3: 8) are blurred. Amos 4 is written in 21 lines in the upper paragraph of the central colunm, with wide spaces between the lines, and in a larger handwriting, occupying half colunm. Amos 5 begins right below chapter 4 and includs 23.5 declining lines, written with letters of varying size and thickness. In the last line the words "whose name is The God of hosts" (Amos 5:27) are written in protruding letters. "צבאות שמו" Amos 6 begins right below Amos 5 and includes 10 lines in the bottom of the middle colunm and five at the top of the third (lefthand) colomn. The letters in the third colonm are very dense and small. Amos 7 is written in 12.5 lines right below Amos 6. The name Amos is written in larger, thicker, letters in the fifth , eighth, ninth and tenth lines (verses Amos 7: 8, 11, 12). Amos 8 is written in 10.5 lines below Amos 7. Amos 9 is written below Amos 8, in thinner and smaller handwriting which is growing thicker and larger by the end. In the 12th line the words "that the plowman shall overtake the reaper" (Amos 9:13) are illustrated with a drawing of people ploughing. The words "and the treader of grapes" in the same verse are illustrated with a bunch of grapes along three lines.
