The four chapters of the book of Joel are written in the four corners of the sheet, with each chapter written in a different corner, in a different direction, leaving a large blank cross shaped space at the center. Each chapter is written in a block of uneven lines in black cursive letters without punctation. Each time the word is written on the sheet, the letter "Tzadi" is written in printed letters, even if the rest of the word is in cursive script. Chapter 1 is written on 15.5 lines in the top right corner from right to left in uneven cursive script of different size and thicknesses on densely packed lines and in expressive handwriting. The name of the prophet, Joel, on the first line is written in larger block letters. יואל The word "the pomegranate" (1:12) on line 9 is illustrated by a drawing of a pomegranate with the text space, and the word "the apple" on the same line is illustrated by an apple. Chapter 2 is written oin 21.5 lines, in the top left corner, along half of the left edge of the sheet, similar to chapter 1. On the 14th line the word "and pity" (2:18) is written in larger letters. ויחמול Chapter 3 is written upside down in 5 lines in the buttom left corner. Chapter 4 is written in 20 lines in the bottom right corner along part of the right edge of the sheet. On the 16th line the word "Jerusalem" is written in well spaced block letters. "ירושלם" On the 16 line the words "the heaven shall shake" are written in thick letters. "וירעשו השמים" On the last line the words "from generation to generation" (4:20) are illlustrated by a G clef within the text. "מדור לדור"
