Art Alone
© Center for Jewish Art, Photographer: Tartakovsky, Sergey, 01.1992
The drawing represents a procession of several personnages moving from right to left. Short, non -readable inscriptions are made below or above the figures; the image of Rembrandt's facsimile is used over the figure on the left side, the one that has tree heads one upon another, each reminding of Rembrandt's grafic self-portraits, though strongly deformed. In the right and below the greyish pen drawing is overlapped by the black strokes of reedstick. The whole scene appears in the "frame" of caligrafically written, non-readable text, reminding of a Baroque handwriting; the sides of the frame are not equal in large.
