Fol. 135v: In the upper part of the text space the initial word “Let us tell” (ונתנה) [Davidson, II, ו, 451] for Musaf for the first day, is written in dark brown display script on a red pen-work filigree ground of foliate scrolls encircling palmettos. The panel is framed by a wide border of blue filigree pen-work decorated with twelve medallions encircling two-legged dragons, hybrids and animals in spared-ground technique on blue and red ground. Flourish motifs outline the panel, extending from the corners along the text column into the upper and lower margins. A row of small red circles tops the upper line of the page.
