The sculpture abstracts an image of an ancient village woman or a palestinian one, coming back from the fields with wheat on her head. The image also has a political aspect because the iron lines which stands for the wheat are usualy used to protect car windows during the Intifada. From the rim of the hat/head hangs 7 coins. On the coins, the word Israel in hebrew and arabic is inscribed, in a way being also the signature of the artist himself. Between the words an Amphora is depicted and 2 olive branchs, one on each side of it, remind us the depiction of the seven-branched menora as the symbol of the state. As for the image of Ruth, this image both Biblical and political calls to mind many depictions of Ruth the Moavian by W.H. Hunt, A. Pann or Z. Raban.
