The first eight of the ten plagues are enclosed within small square panels arranged in two columns on the full page. Each panel is framed in burnished gold while both columns are also framed with red fillets. The ten plagues are listed in the intercolumnar space. The scenes read horizontally beginning from the top right panel and ending with the bottom left panel. The first panel, representing the plague of blood, encloses five figures, among them the crowned Pharoah, standing against a solid red background. The second panel, representing the plague of frogs, encloses three standing figures being attacked by frogs, set against an open background. The third panel, representing the plague of lice, encloses two standing figures covered with black spots, signifying the lice, set against an open background. Additional black spots fill the space around them. The fourth panel, representing the plague of flies, encloses a single figure standing in an open landcape, with black and brown flecks surrounding him. The fifth panel, representing the plague of murrain, encloses dead livestock lying in an open landscape of brown hills. Although the scene is largely effaced, it appears that the seventh plague i.e. hail, is depicted in the sixth panel. Three figures are depicted standing in an open landscape with large gray hailstones falling from a segment of gray sky above them. The seventh panel, representing the plague of boils, encloses two figures standing against an open landscape. The fine details of the figures are effaced. The eighth panel, representing the plague of locusts, encloses two standing figures surrounded by black flecks, set against an open landscape.
