The initial word for the pericope Ha'azinu, האזינו, is written in large, bold letters within a panel of interlaced, scrolling, red penwork in the top part of the inner text column. Blue dots are interspersed within the penwork. Tendrils ascend and descend from the right side of the panel. A foliate stem descends from the left side of the panel in the inter-columnar space, merging with a vertical micrographic inscription of the massorah. The micrography outlines the vocalizer's colophon and a running scalloped pattern. Massoretic text shaped in concentric circles is set at the center of the top and bottom margins within straight lines ending in a running triangular pattern. Beneath the foliation in the outer margin, the outline of a regardant dragon encloses an unidentified inscription.
