An initial word panel at the top of the text space encloses the word, כל, "All," commencing the Kol Nedarim prayer for Yom Kippur eve. The rectangular panel which is framed in gold leaf? is divided into three sections. The middle section, which encloses the word, is framed from within by violet penwork fillets and a toothed border?. The outer sections are filled with red ground decorated with gold tracery of foliate branches and flowers. The entire panel is framed by a violet penwork border comprising filets surrounded by acanthus leaves, trefoils and tendrils with a triangular form at the center top. A tendril which sprouts flowers and fruit extends down from the border into the inner margin.
