Four initial word panels are set one above the other down the right side of the text space. The small rectangular panels are executed in penwork in alternating colors of blue and red and red and violet. The borders of the panels, comprising fillets and toothed motifs, are further decorated with tendrils which extend into the margins. The top and bottom tendrils comprise foliate stems with fruit. The panels enclose the following words, מי, נדה, ברוך, אתה, "Who," "Let us give thanks," "Blessed be," and "Thou," each being the initial word for the verses of the En Kelohenu prayer.
