According to ESJF European Jewish Cemeteries Initiative, the exact period of the cemetery’s establishment is unknown. It was not marked on old maps. According to Ivan Yurchenko, the oldest preserved gravestones presumably relate to the mid-18th century, but the oldest gravestone found by ESJF expedition relates to the late 19th century. The cemetery is still operating. There are two Christian burials on the site. There are 158 gravestones.
