20 Description

An old, balding man is depicted from behind seated on a low yellow bench which is isometrically painted. The bench stands on a tiled floor with a book lying on it beneath the bench. The sides of the bench are painted white. Two letters are written on the corner of the bench. In the foreground is written in black block Hebrew letters: אב "Father"/"Alphabet", the two letters being also the first letters of the Hebrew alphabet. The small black cursive Hebrew letter, Aleph, is added, written after the second letter, creating thus the word: אבא "Dad." A circle is drawn on the far side of the bench beneath two lines of musical notes. The man looks onto the landscape in the bakground which suggests part of the map of Israel: The Judean hills rise from yellow sand on the right and the sea shore is visible on the horizon. Superimposed over the colored sea in the upper left part of the picture is an encircled geometrical shape. A black patch is depicted on the right of the sea and on the left is a crescent moon painted on a black triangle. The edge of a stone wall peeks out from the left side of the painting.

20 Description

The figure of a man, standing with legs apart on a long piece of unstretched canvas, leaning on a green staff held before him with both hands together. A red triangle surmounts the green staff. The contours of the body are formed by black elipses which create the illusion of depth/form. A small picture of a man's head on stretched canvas is attached to the upper part of the unstretched canvas. The head, which is outlined in black and colored pink, is a portrait of the artist above the body. His hair is dishvelled and he has a menancing look in his eyes that is emphasized by the pale pink color of his face. The upper part of his blue shirt is discernable. The combination of the yellow background, the look on his face, and the pointed staff, together creates a intimidating and depressing mood.

20 Description

The circular portrait of a man is painted in prominent brush strokes in strong colors. The man's yellow face is outlined in brown thick contours, and his yellow and blue beard and long brown and blonde hair suggests fire. The black hole formed by his mouth encloses a Hebrew inscription in white block letters as follows: אב אמ אמת. The first two words are joined to a larger third word. They compose a pun, combining the words "Father" and "Mother" to create the word "Truth".

20 Description

The figure of a bearded naked man covered by a filmy white transparent cloth and wearing a skullcap depicted in black outlines seated at the center of the picture on a brown ground. He faces front and his right leg resting on the ground is bent at the knee. His left leg is folded under him so as to partly conceal his thigh and loins. His left hand rests on his ankle, his palm facing upwards in a cupped gesture. His right hand is held facing the viewer with the elbow on the right thigh. The entire hand except for the thumb is covered by a tuquoise "Hamsa" charm with an eye in profile at the center. A black dot is painted below the Hamsa. A baloon signifying speech is situated just above the Hamsa enclosing a Hebrew word written in it in Setam style in black, block letters: שלום "Peace" (also "Hello"). A musical note depicted directly below his left foot encloses a form resembling an eye, a fish, and the Hebrew letter "Ayin." A Hebrew word is written in large black cursive letters in the foreground, below the man: שבת "Sabbath (Saturday)." A band of black and white vertical bars with a blue zig-zag line superimposed over them is set beneath the word. A white sky with blue clouds on the periphery is in the background and a yellow planet, perhaps Saturn, is set to the right of the man. A yellow geometrical form with unstretching lines is set above the man on the right.

20 Description

The picture represents a map of Israel on a rhombus-shaped canvas with holes in the corners. Above the map is a light blue sky in the upper deep blue corner of which a white light is depicted.  A large red triangle is depicted below the map in the lower corner. In the foreground ball shapes are depicted connected to each other in lines that create a system. This suggests a galactic system or Cabalistic spheres. The map, located in the center of the picture, depicts the land of Israel from an eastern point of view with northern brown Lebanon, Golan Heights and Upper Galillee mountains in the right corner of the "tiara." The coast is yellow reaching into the left hand, white corner of the picture. The sharon region is reddish brown with green lines representing the orchards on Hamra ground. The Mt. Carmel and Judea mountains are depicted in brown. Blue is used to represent the kidney-shaped Sea of Galillee surrounded by a green area that corresponds to the Lower Galillee and Izrael valley. The Jordan River and Valley are depicted using green on a yellow background, reaching the Dead Sea, which is cocealed by a ball shape. The Negev and Arava are painted yellow.

20 Description

The triptych is composed of a central panel and two smaller panels on its sides connected unsimetrically. It reads from right to left the name of the artist: Michael. The right wing is a horizontal rectangular in which the word "mi" is written in block industrial black Hebrew letters on a white background. The central panel depicts a left palm in detail in front of a background of a starry blue sky. The palm represents the letter Kaf, right after the Mem Yud of the former panel. On the left panel the Hebrew word El is written in Rashi script combining the letters Aleph and Lamed into one form. This is written in black over a white background.

20 Description

The picture depicts a large figure walking towards the left behind a large wooden chair. The figure's head is painted on a different piece of stretched canvas attached to the painting. A pointing hand is drawn at the upper left corner of the picture, pointing to the figure with two fingers. It is drawn on blue sky background and suggests the hand of God. The head, depicted on a different piece of canvas on a purple background is a bearded, long haired, bird head in prophile with a yellow triangular Jew hat over it. The figure's eye looks backwords, to another pointing hand, but this one is more threating, almost resembling a gun to the head. The sleeve of the figure's white-yellowish robe has blue stains on it and is in the robe's pocket.

20 Description

The back of the black head of a bull is depicted in the lower half of the picture and two hands in a gesture of blessing are depicted above it in the upper half of the picture. The head is most prominent with its ears and horns. A red stripe is painted along the inner side of the left horn. A black line follows the shape of the horns and merges into the image above. The two brown and pink skin colored hands with fingers held together are directed inwards, each one situated above one of the bull's horns. The hands suggest a Hamsa sign. Each hand is outlined in black. Surrounding these forms on the left are areas of white, yellow, green, and sky-blue with red stripes, green, green-yellow and black. In the center, projecting upwards from above, the bull's head is a sraight line that diverges into two curves suggesting horns, each arch over each hand. These curves follow the opposite direction of the bull's horns.

20 Description

The triptych is composed of three wooden vertical panels. The side panels are shorter and narrower than the central one and are joined to it from the top. An enthroned human figure is painted on a sky-blue background in the central panel. The picture is devided into four horizontal parts. The angular point of the upper blue, pentagon shaped, one is at the figure's chest. The angular point of the second green part is at the figure's loins. An eye appears in the upper right corner of the green part. The angular point of the third red part is at the figure's feet and has an eye depicted on its lower left side. The rest, most the lower part of the picture, is black. The top of the central part of the picture is joined by a small piece of white canvas on which is painted a golden crown within a grey frame. On both sides of the crown are two stretched yellow strings joined by tacks to the figure's feet. Two yellow lines are drawn similarily reaching the figure's hands. A red line is drawn on the figure's right and is drawn until her left hand. A blue line is drawn on the figure's right connected to her right hand. The figure's hair is made of yellow strings. A little round yellow framed mirror is joined to her face and hence conceals it. Only her lips and teeth are reaveled below the mirror. From behind her shoulders two long arms darker than the figure's body are depicted, framing it and giving the impression that the figure is a kind of marionette. The left hand is made of cardboard and joined to the canvas as well as the figure's shoulders. From the golden circle on the figure's heart a black line is drawn to its loins which are similarly concealed by another golden circle on which the tenth letter of the Hebrew alphabeth, an initial of god's name, is written: י . Black lines drawn from the figure's shoulders to a golden circle located between the figures left feminine breast and its right masculine breast. Black lines are drawn over the figure's body in the shape of the Tree of Life. From its loins emerges two other legs appearing to belong to the darker figure whose hands exist alongside the central figure. The two feet of the bright central figure are joined together wheras the feet of the darker figure are spread out.
