Description:

Jonah being swallowed by the fish (Jonah 2:1). The legs of the Prophet wearing hasidic dress protrude from the mouth of the big fish. On the left side is the tall tree that would serve as a seat for the Prophet whom the fish subsequently spat out. On the right side are the building of city and the ship (from which the Prophet had been thrown into the sea).

Description:

Elijah's altar on Mount Carmel (I Kings 18:38)  At the center of the picture is situated Mount Carmel with an altar and a sacrificial bull on top of it. The flames rising up to the sky from the altar. The mountain is surrounded by water. In the foreground are three blue buckets hinting at the miraculous nature of the event. On the background are buildings and ruins of ancient arches.
