36 Summary and Remarks
Some scholars identify this cathedra with the "seat of moses",which is mentioned in the rabbanic literature and in the New Testament. According to Z.Yeivin this fragment is reconstructed in the reader's niche (4). G.Foerster suggested that the inscription mentioned one of the Rabbi wich is known from the Rabbanic sources. His name in the sources is Yehuda Ben Yshmael and he lives in the third century A.D.

REM : Rabbi Eliezer Ha-Kappar is mention in the Mishna. He lived at the end of 2 century. His son Eliezer Son of Eliezer Ha-Kapar lived at the begining of the 3 century. Some scholars date the lintel, according the inscription, to the 3 century (bib). The style of the lintel resembles the Ein Nashut reliefs dated to the 5 century (Roni Ben-Arie).
